B.C.A. International Autumn Tournament 2008

This was held at the Midland Hotel, Derby, 14/16 November 2008.
31 Players competed in the 2008 International Autumn Tournament. 17 in the Open and 14 in the minor.
Once again, the event was held at the conveniently situated Midland Hotel, Derby.
The open event proved to be a run away two horse event between Tyson Mordue and Chris Ross with the rest of the field packed some way behind. The minor produced a clear winner with Orlando Sobers a clear point ahead of Stephen Brown with the remainder a point or more further back.

Final placings:

Open:

1-2: Tyson Mordue (winning trophy on tie-break) and chris Ross 4,5/5.
3-7: Tristram Cole, Stephen Burnell, Colin Chambers, Les Whittle and Philip Gordon 3.5/5.
8-12: Philip Doyle, Ernie McElroy, Stan Lovell, Ian Blenko and Voldi Gailans 2.5/5.
13: Sean Loftus 2/5.
14-17: john Gallagher, Steve Thacker, Richard Murphy and Mark Kirkham 1.5/5.
Les Whittle, Stan Lovell, Ian Blenko and Philip Gordon won grading prizes.

3-6: Jim Cuthbert, Phil Smith, John Osborne and dorothy Hodges 3/5.
