The
Grass Roots scheme was set up to benefit UK BCA members who have
not had the privilege of playing in high-profile international
events; with the second objective of seeking to encourage members
to participate in mainstream congresses. Please note that this
scheme is available to visually impaired BCA members resident
in the UK.
UK
members eligible under the Grass Roots Scheme can currently claim
either £150 towards the price of any non BCA congress or
two payments of £75 for any such tournaments that might
fall short of this amount. Please note that the scheme has now
been extended to include events overseas and non BCA events that
are specifically aimed at VI players. Eligible members who are
novices to mainstream congresses, or haven’t attended one
for ten years or more, can also claim £75/£150 (appropriate
to expenditure) for a guide to any mainstream event.
From
1 October 2011 the Grass Roots Scheme will offer an extra £75
for people attending more than one event. Therefore, from this
date eligible members will be able to make three claims of £75
each or two claims, one of £150 and one of £75.

you would like to take up this offer, or if you have any questions
