Junior BCA is a section within the overall structure of the BCA
¨Membership
Membership of Junior BCA is available to visually impaired UK
residents under the age of 25. Associate membership of Junior BCA is available
to sighted UK
residents under 18.
¨Subscriptions
Membership of junior BCA is free.
¨Status
Members of Junior BCA enjoy full membership status of BCA They are
entitled to all the benefits and subject to all the obligations of other
members of BCA
¨Representation
When membership of Junior BCA reaches ten It will be entitled to
elect one of it's members to serve on the BCA committee. That member shall
enjoy equal status with other members of the committee and will be
responsible for bringing the views of Junior BCA on all matters discussed.
¨Funding
Junior BCA will be funded from money
designated for junior and youth development.
¨Benefits to Junior BCA members
Visually impaired members of Junior BCA
will be entitled to free entry and free accommodation at events run by BCA.
They may also, on the discretion of the BCA committee, receive other benefits such as the provision of chess equipment etc.
