Results

Tyson drives through hazardous conditions to secure a draw which draws us the match!

Tyson braved the snow, rushed a 2-hour drive and got to the venue, to draw quickly on board 2 and therefore almost secure us of a well-deserved draw overall.

Since the match situation looked precarious at midday, this monumental team effort ensured that our season’s chances are still in the air and not completed dashed entirely.

Ross drew on board 3 very quickly and Crouch took swift advantage of some poor opening play by his opponent. Quick draws then by Tyson, Burnell and Hilton left the match in the balance.

Tristram sacked a pawn gallantly and went active.
Unfortunately, the compensation he got for his invested material just wasn’t quite enough, always being one tempo away from crashing through.

A 3-3 draw was probably justified.
Good effort team in difficult circumstances!
